Izzail’s Blog

Hello there Mockit lovers and Rocketleague enthusiasts,

My name is Izzail and I am the Play by Play shoutcaster for Mockitleage. We look to be starting blog posts so I thought I would make the first one about myself so that you might get to know me better. My real name is Chris and I am Canadian if you didn’t already know. I am an old guy who is 30 but feel young at heart and love the esports scene. I got into rocket league at the launch but am new to the esports casting scene. Mockit was amazing enough to give me the opportunity to try my hand at it and I fell in love with it instantly. I have had alot of great responses from the viewers and players and I would sincerely like to say thank you to everyone. I was paired up with some guy named Kerrytaz on my first tournament broadcast and the chemistry we formed right away was something special and has lead to us in the opinion of many becoming the leading pair in Rocketleague commentary. We continue to run 3 tournaments a week and continue to see the participants and viewers growing with each cast. The future is looking bright for Rocketleague and Mockit.gg and i am super happy to be a part of it. I will continue to write blog posts for all of you let me know what you want to hear about in the comments below.

Our Goal At Mockit || Tell us what you think!

Hey folks,

Luckey here. Figured I would fill everyone in on our goal at Mockit.

In general, we love the community we have built. Many folks love what we do, and it is because of YOU that we do this. Everyone at Mockit all has the same mentality of, “Give the people what they want!” Basically, we feel people want a few things. In order of importance:

  1. A great community to play with. This is why we have our discord server. It seems many people love it. We are one of the top 20 discord servers in the world for overall people, and during tournaments we are generally #1 in the world for activity. This is amazing. Check out this chart from one of the guys who helps make Mockit happen, Matt.

  2. They want to also see pros play on a regular basis. We do this by offering amazing prize pools and competitive game play with a stage for all to watch, i.e. our Twitch Stream.
  3. Dank Memes. Kappa

We will have a few more posts coming out to show what we can do regarding the summer. Exciting times here at Mockit!

Low5ive’s Editing Contest!

Hey guys! I’m Low5ive.

You might know me from my own stream on Twitch; my previous title as “that guy on the homepage;” or from the occasional appearances in Rocket Royale, RLCPL, or Mock-it tournaments. Now, I play Rocket League for Mock-it eSports alongside Rizzo and Insolences.

The Low Down:

I’ve been sitting on some Rocket League replays waiting for that special someone to come along and edit, but I’ve decided to release them in a public contest!  There are 51 clips in total that date all the way back to October, so not all of them are A+ material.  It’s a lot to go through and you might consider a fair number of them to be not so great, but I want to leave a wide selection so that the videos you all put together have plenty of variety.  I’d recommend going through them in order of newest to oldest (I’ll attach an appropriately sorted image below).

What’s in it for you?

The best video, judged by myself and a few others, will receive $100USD and the opportunity to edit a “teamtage” for our team, Mock-it eSports.  I’ll also feature the winning video on my YouTube channel and hype you up on Twitch.

The next two runner-ups will also have the chance to edit the “teamtage.”

  • 1st: $100USD, exposure, “teamtage” entry
  • 2nd: Teamtage entry
  • 3rd: Teamtage entry

Teamtage?!

The three best submissions for the “Low5ive” video will have the opportunity to piece together a video for Mock-it including Rizzo, Insolences, and myself.  These clips are already in order and they’re WAY cooler.

The best video from this selection will receive another $100USD and the chance to join the Mock-it Creative Team as a paid part-time position.

  • Winner: $100USD and a chance for a paid part-time job as a Creative Team member.

I’ve set the end date for “Phase 1” at March 24th. There is no video length requirement. Email your submissions to low5montage@gmail.com. I’m stoked to see what you guys come up with.

Spread the word!
